Community guidelines
Jonarix communities exist so builders can learn from each other, get unstuck, and share feedback safely. These guidelines set expectations for behavior, content, enforcement, and how to report problems. They work alongside our Terms of service, Privacy policy, and FAQs.
1. Scope — where this applies
These guidelines cover official Jonarix spaces, including but not limited to: public Discord or Slack communities we operate, GitHub discussions on repositories we maintain, comment threads on our blog or changelog, X / LinkedIn threads we moderate, conference booths and office hours we host, and public portions of support tickets when you post in shared channels.
They do not replace your employer’s code of conduct or the rules of third-party platforms (for example GitHub’s own policies still apply on GitHub).
2. Welcome behavior we expect
- Assume good intent, especially for newcomers and non-native speakers.
- Be specific when asking for help: product area, what you tried, error text (redact secrets).
- Share knowledge when you can: short answers, links to docs, reproducible examples.
- Respect time zones — async is normal; avoid demanding instant replies from staff or volunteers.
3. Safety, harassment, and discrimination
We do not tolerate harassment, hate, threats, or discrimination based on age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or similar characteristics.
Unacceptable behavior includes: slurs; sexualized attention toward someone who has not consented; sustained dogpiling; publishing private information (doxxing); encouraging self-harm; glorifying violence; or coordinating brigades against individuals or organizations.
If you feel unsafe, disengage and report (see Reporting below). Moderators may remove content, issue warnings, or remove participants to protect the community.
4. Content, prompts, and sensitive data
When sharing prompts, logs, or screenshots:
- Redact secrets: API keys, tokens, cookies, internal hostnames, customer PII, and regulated health or financial data.
- No illegal activity: do not request or distribute instructions to break the law, compromise systems without authorization, or bypass payment controls.
- NSFW & shock content: keep public channels work-appropriate. Use age-gated or designated channels only if moderators provide them and label content clearly.
- Intellectual property: do not post large excerpts of paid courses, books, or proprietary third-party material you are not allowed to share.
4.1 Jonarix original preview products
All approved preview demos inside Jonarix showcase surfaces are treated as Jonarix Original Preview Products. They are curated, versioned, and documented as product assets for community use.
Current Jonarix Original Preview Products include:
- Splash Cursor — interactive fluid cursor trail preview.
- Meta Balls — metaball animation with cursor and scroll response.
- Blob Cursor — multi-trail blob cursor with merged visual filter.
- Product Teaser Motion — auto-playing cinematic motion sample.
- UI Kit Draft — interface system and dashboard style concepts.
- Brand Identity — logo and brand-direction prompt outputs.
- Promo Motion — campaign motion reel style concepts.
- Product Shot — ad-style product render and visual concepts.
- Landing Hero — hero-section composition and layout concepts.
- Social Pack — multi-platform social creative concepts.
Moderators may reject or remove previews that are copied from others without meaningful transformation, violate policy, or fail documentation requirements.
4.2 Required prompt submission format (for every new preview)
For any new preview added to community showcases, submit all fields below so the output is reproducible and reviewable:
- Preview name — product-style name (for example: "Blob Cursor").
- Category — one of: Animations, UI Design, Graphics, Motion, Web/SaaS, Branding, Product Ads, Social Content.
- Goal — what the preview must demonstrate in one clear sentence.
- Prompt text — exact prompt used to produce the result.
- Parameters — model/settings values (size, speed, colors, counts, effects, etc.).
- Interaction behavior — hover/click/scroll/touch behavior requirements.
- Output assets — files used (video/image/canvas/script) and target dimensions.
- Safety checks — confirm no copyrighted or restricted content was copied unlawfully.
Jonarix staff or maintainers can require revisions before publishing. Any new approved preview provided through official Jonarix channels should be added to this registry section with its prompt specification.
5. Spam, scams, and self-promotion
- No cryptocurrency scams, fake giveaways, or phishing links.
- Commercial self-promotion (consulting, recruiting, other products) belongs in channels or threads explicitly designated for it, or with moderator approval.
- Do not scrape member lists, send unsolicited bulk DMs, or add people to external lists without consent.
6. Moderation & enforcement ladder
Moderators and Jonarix staff may take any of the following actions depending on severity, repetition, and risk:
- Reminder / edit — minor issues; we may edit or hide a message and explain why.
- Formal warning — documented expectation to stop or adjust behavior.
- Mute or temporary ban — from a single channel up to the entire community.
- Permanent ban — for serious violations, sustained harassment, or repeated abuse after warnings.
- Account suspension — for violations that also breach the Terms of service or threaten the product, we may restrict your Jonarix product account subject to separate review.
We may involve law enforcement where there is a credible threat of violence or exploitation of minors.
7. Reporting, evidence, and appeals
How to report: Use the in-platform report feature where available, or email info@jonarix.com with subject “Community report”. For security-sensitive issues (malware, active attacks), use support@jonarix.com per Security disclosures.
What to include: links or message IDs, timestamps (UTC), screenshots if helpful, and whether others witnessed the incident. Do not publicly name accusers or targets in a way that restarts harassment.
Appeals: If you believe a moderation action was wrong, reply to the moderation notice or email info@jonarix.com with “Appeal” in the subject within 30 days. Include new information if any. Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement.
8. Staff & volunteer moderators
Moderators act on behalf of Jonarix. Their directions in community spaces should be followed like staff instructions. If you have feedback on moderation, use private channels or email rather than public call-outs that escalate drama.
9. Changes
We may update these guidelines; the effective date will change at the top. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.
